In the upcoming Zoom meeting (7 PM), I will take a critical look at the Constitution as the US is nearing it’s 250th anniversary. Though the US Constitution wasn’t ratified until a dozen years after the Declaration of Independence and the ratification of the Bill of Rights was not until a few years after that, it is a good time to examine some of it’s contents. I’m going to explain why I believe the Constitution has led to where we are today and how the principles in this document has been instrumental in the establishment’s grip on society. This is a highly contrarian stance. In particular, the First Amendment will be looked at.
